MY DAY!

yay! Finally I have a chance to write about my special day. Is it me or I think October is such a good month. Not because I was born on October but it feels different. Its like you know the year is ending but at the same time you know that you still have 3 more months to enjoy and end the year fabulously =)

Over the years, my birthday was pretty much like any normal people. Hang out with friends, dinner or lunch, catch a movie, karaoke, got surprised last year and blah blah blah. This year was just different and I would not celebrate any other way. I can say that this year, I got to celebrate with everybody who play an important role in my life. Enough of reading, I will let the pictures do the talking. hehe

On the 6th of October which is a Saturday, I start my day by working for 5 hours. Silly huh? But I am glad I did. By 2.30pm, I was in my friends car and my birthday celebration starts there. 

We went around town looking for a chu char place to eat because I choose to have Chinese dishes. Finally we found a good chu char place and it has been there for about 50 years. How amazing is that.? 

My afternoon was spend with ( from the top left) Mary Voon, Sharon Cornelius, and Aaron Xavier. <3

When we were looking for a place to eat, we pass this shop and I said that I want to have tea here and there we are eating toast bread and drinking tea right after our late lunch.

It is located at Cambell Street and it is famous for its roti bakar because the bread was toast using charcoal.

There is a newspaper cutting stating that even Lim Guan Eng and Khor Tsu Koon visited the place.=)

We ordered 5 plates of bread whereas there is only four of us. 

I love to eat bread. Any kind of bread except bread that is already expire, I would eat it. There is always place in my stomach for bread. haha

While we are on our way to the car, we came across this small and cute balcony which was build among the many shop lots. 

For one second, we felt like superstars. haha.. =)

We walked around in Gurney for a few hours and then to Paragon for something sweet.

It is my first time trying Moo Cow frozen yogurt and it taste like heaven. Mary and I had the original flavor yogurt with strawberry jam and nuts if I am not mistaken.

The four of us again indulging in our yogurt. 

I have known them for so many years and this is my first year celebrating with them. They made my day memorable and also give me the opportunity to have a taste of Penang local food. 

I wonder what kind of Penangnite am I? Do not know about the various , famous, and mouth-watering food in Penang. haha

After a wonderful afternoon, I end my birthday in TGIF, Paragon with my girlfriends.=)

It was filled with so much of laughs and joy and not to forget, pictures!

Special thanks to Pei Ying for baking this cake. It is one delicious cake and I could not resist but to share it with my family and a few friends.=) Strawberry Velvet cake with Cream Cheese topping. Yummy! While typing it down, I feel like eating.

and yes, the whole TGIF birthday in the house thing had happened but I must say, the workers did pretty well in it. Its different compared to the Queensbay outlet. 

 They surprised me with the cake. I have no words to say how thankful I am to have them in my life. They are my crazy bunch. <3

End of Day 1! 

The following day, attended mass in the morning then straight to my grandparents place for lunch. I requested for a birthday lunch which serves home cook meals instead of dinner which we will have to dine somewhere.

I manage to have my beauty sleep in the afternoon before dinner time with some friends which I called them family. 

Went to China House. I must say, there is not much that we could choose from and it was a little bit pricey but the food was good.

Yes again, they surprised me with cupcakes. The cupcakes was made by my sister. It is banana cupcakes with whipped cream on top. Yummy!

The night is still young, so we went to Picnic to chill and to digest our food. 

We then ordered a basket a Nachos and Fries while playing " Bluff " and the blocks game..

Li Ann could not make it on the 6th, therefore she asked me out for dinner yesterday, 9th October.

Was supposed to have dinner at Crepe Cottage but because it was closed, we decided to try Jemputree. Sister tagged along too. 

No regrets having dinner there. The environment was beautiful, affordable price and the food comes in big portions. All less then RM20.

French fries as starters. I had Fettuccine marinara, Li Ann had stuffed chicken and Mel had the burger bite.

DAY 3: END!

This marks the end of my birthday celebration with these people. I am truly blessed to have them all not because I am treated like a princess on this special day but because they have been with me through thick and thin all this years since i've known them. I love them very much.

HEALTHY

    I just want to share with you all my healthy experience today! 

I did not expect that I would be eating salad and also going to the gym. I thought today will be one sleeping day for me because I slept at 2am yesterday and my eyes can barely open this afternoon. 

I did not manage to have breakfast and I was thinking that I will have my lunch after my class ends. By the time my class ends, my stomach was calling for food already. All I am thinking and craving for is a huge bowl of salad. When I reached home, mummy suddenly ask me to accompany her to Tesco to get a few ingredients for salad. I was a little bit shocked that both of us was thinking of eating the same food and at the same time excited.

There is cherry tomatoes, eggs, green apples, carrots, cucumber and lots of cabbage! 

The dressing that mummy use is a Korean dressing. Its pretty delicious and it taste different. 

When I was just about to sleep, one of my girlfriend called and say that she is picking me up in 20 mins to the gym. I could not reject it because I feel a need of exercising after eating so much during the weekend. Try to put a side my tired-ness, got ready and there I was at OFA exercising with Pei Ying, Najah and Zhi Xian.=)

I dont like this machine but to work on my tights, I have no choice.. Did running as well. 

Guess what I had for dinner? I actually wanted to just cooked some sausages and noodles, but mummy said that we have leftovers salad from the afternoon. So therefore, I ate another bowl of salad today..=) I am so full right now. haha.

Anyway, what I want to say is, when we worked hard for something, the satisfaction is just there. I was about to die while exercising, but I did not give up until I reached my goal. I felt so happy and satisfied after that. When it is so tempting to eat this Korean Noodles and sausages that my mum bought, I choose salad in the end. After eating and feeling so full, I am glad I eat the right food. 

Today is indeed a productive day. 

Eyes are closing anytime soon. I am going to bed early today! Sweet dreams, Goodnight and God bless!

BFF IS WHAT THEY CALL TODAY

I have a lot of best friends over the years. May it be from Kindergarden, or Primary School or even Secondary school, I still remember each one of them. ok, maybe not during Kindergarden. I totally forget who are my friends back then. My all time question " What's a definition of a Best Friend? " and I finally get to know the answer. After God-knows how many years. There is no definition of a best friend, or should I say noone could ever explain or describe whats the definition of a Best Friend.

    The general answer would be trustworthy, someone you can count on, always make you feel wanted and happy, someone who will be there for you in good times and in bad. I guess people always miss out one more reason which is someone who could make you a better person as well. I have a very good friend and I love hanging out with her. She is someone whom I can really be honest about my opinion. I can say that we have similar way of thinking. When I'm with her, majority of the time we will be talking about what is right and what is wrong to do in life, how would we want to define our life, whats happening to the world now. oh, how I love this kind of topic. because I know that there is more than one answer to it. Listening to people's opinions will help us grow and think outside the box in one way or another. At the same time, everytime I am with her, I felt the warmth in my heart whereby I know I can trust her.

    I have another group of friends which are very special to me. I have just known them since F4 and we are still very close until today. Everytime I'm with them, I just forget that there is a world outside. They allow me to forget about my problems for a while and they show me that life can be fun even if we have problems. I'm not avoiding but just taking a break from it. We often lend our listening ears, hands and shoulders with one another and boy, they sure do know how to cheer people up. They are one crazy bunch of mine.

    Do you have people whom you just treat them more than friends. No, I don't mean lovers but nearly to family. I have 2 of them and they are precious to me. Both of them are God brothers and differ in many ways. We often hang out together with my sister. They are the people who you can invite to family events. When sis and I are grounded, in the midst of being grounded, they are the people whom you can still go out with. Silly!

    I am very grateful to have a Godly couple who can make you think and see things differently. Like when I am walking in a place filled with darkness, they will remind me that God will guide me through the darkness and soon before I know it, I will see the light. They are like a God-send angels to my life. How blessed am I to have them. no? They are a very busy couple but when it comes to helping people, they will just dig in and out for a time to help them. It is pretty much how I want to be too. If you ask me who is my role model, it will be them. They are no celebrities, but a prince and princess in the Kingdom of God, better than celebrities I say.

    Therefore, seek for someone who can make you a better person and someone who will not judge you also. Someone told me this before and he says " a definition of a best friend is also someone who will not lie to you and will always tell the truth to you whether we like it or not." A best friend is a role, a friend is also a role. Both have different characteristics but they have something in common which is to always treat everybody fairly and welcome everybody to their lives. You will never know, you might need their help one day..=) For me, trust is extreamly and ultimately important. Its important to know how to keep a secret about other peoples problem. That shows the trust one have in you and also I am very sure all of us do not want to be cheated.

Allow me to end with one verse that I recently found and its good,
 Matthew 7:12 says “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets"

EXPECT VERSUS FAITH

    Why expect when there is faith. I personally think that "expecting" is a very big word. Let me describe it in one word. DANGEROUS! If we expect too much in something, and do not get it, we are just hurting our self  Some people put expectations as a motivation but afterall  there is still at least 40% failure. Thats why, nowadays we always see quotes like " Don't put expectations because if we cannot achieve it, it will lead to disappointment, otherwise if we manage to achieve it, we will feel happier. So to expect or not?

    I choose to have faith instead. If i were to achieve something with faith in me all this while, Praise God. If I don't, it doesn't matter because at least I know God has a better plan and He knows it all. Not like if we expect something and are not able to get it, we are just left hanging like that without any reason. I must admit that it is not easy to have faith in all situations especially in things that we have not done before, of failed too many times before, or thinking that we are not good enough to achieve it. Faith is believing in something that cannot be seen. Faith is believing that God is there with us to fight for something that we want ( good things ).  A very good example is during exams. I always pray and surrender the paper I am doing to Him whether it is easy or not, and while doing and throughout the process of waiting , if faith is there, I know that God will not disappoint  me and He never did.

    I am going through some situations where I should be giving up long time ago but somehow I am just longing for that day to come and faith is the one who keeps me standing. I cannot say that there is not obstacles in between but with that obstacles during the waiting period, it allows me to grow and learn so much more. God did not promise that the road is going to be smooth, but He promised that its going to be worth it. The reason why He is my bestfriend is because He never broke His promises.

    Faith without work is DEAD! Also, we cannot let our faith do all the work, we ourselves also have to put effort and commitment to what we want to achieve. And with the amount of commitment we put wholeheartedly with faith, there is no reason why God will not let us to achieve it unless if He has a better reason and plan for us. =)

Mark 11:24 says "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." ( English Standard Version 

That's why I tell you to have faith that you have already received whatever you pray for,and it will be yours.- another version of Bible
    

ANOTHER REASON TO SMILE

    Its 9.15am now and I have the sudden urged to blog. Have you ever done something for someone and felt happy and satisfied after doing it? Seeing other people smile because of your acts of service, will that make you happy and have the feeling of wanting to do more? That is what I am feeling right now. I slept at 2am yesterday because I have to finish my brothers folio that I promised him to do. I was a little upset at first because he dint say that the folio must be finished by this coming Tuesday, but then because I promised him and he is my little baby brother afterall, I would sacrifice my time to finish it up for him. After I'm done with it, I felt very happy.

    Allow me to tell you another story. My mother promised to give me RM10 per week for cleaning up the house. That includes vacuuming the floor, mopping the floor, fold the clothes, clean dogs poop and blah blah blah. I was pretty excited but then Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday had past and I have not received the RM10, but then I still do it wholeheartedly. Its one of the few days where I would clean the house wholeheartedly, thinking that I wont be getting the RM10 already. Want to know whats in my mind that makes me want to to this? Knowing that God will do it if He was placed in my position, knowing that I want to be like my Holy Father, I decided to do it. Not because I have to do it, but because I want to do it for my mother. Unexpectedly, I received the RM10 the next day. God is good! See how this little things can makes me happy.

    There is a lot more different stories which have one thing that is similar which is putting God in every acts of service I offer. I have to wake up at 6am this morning because I decided that I want to make breakfast for my whole family. I could be sleeping for another half an hour, wake up, get ready and drop everyone off to their respective places. I made egg sandwich with cheese. It was a lot of work and time is running pretty fast but I managed to do it with LOVE!

    There is a lot of reason to help other but if the reason is to gain fame, attention or money, it is not right. We all can hide from everybody in the world except for one person and He is just right above us. In everything I do, the glory is always to God. I rather receive a victory which is permanent in His time than something that could only make me happy temporary. =) Try it! Se if it makes you happy today!

    Ending this post with a verse.  Matthew 25:40 says, The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me'

THE FALL IN VENICE

 I have not expected that this day will even happen, that I will be attending INTI's Prom 2012 as I am a girl who is not really into this kind of events. The reason why I have to be in college is too attend classes or do assignments. Other than that, don't expect me to do or participate in anything. haha. That's how lazy I am. LOL. This is also my very first blog post which has tons of pictures in it and no, its not about whats in my mind. 

    I decided to blog about this because I have been longing to have a weekend like this with the people whom I love. Being with the people whom you are comfortable with and whom you can just be fully yourself and talk about just anything and everything. 

   I attend this event after one of my girlfriends whom is NOT studying in INTI managed to persue me into attending the prom. Of course, another reason is because May Chee, a high-school friend of ours, participate in the Mr. and Mrs Inti. How could we not go and support her?  She manage to get in into the finalist.

    The theme of the event is " The Fall in Venice ". I liked the theme, somehow. I think it is very unique. The opening ceremony was good.

Stayed over Pei Ying house, and we slept at 5am and woke up at 10am this morning. Got ready and while waiting for the rest to get prepared, PY tied hair for me. It is called " Watterfall braid" Simply beautiful and I liked it.

PY then send us home. It was a beautiful weekend with just my girlfriends. Being with them makes me happy  and as well as allow me to forget that there is a world out there. Time passed really fast and its time to face reality. But, I am looking forward to attend mass tomorrow. Feels like forever actually. I had a beautiful weekend. I hope you guys do to! Goodnight!
