jaslyn elizabeth dewitt: 2012-2013

12 months ago a.k.a 365 days ago, I told myself that I want to make 2012 a great and memorable year. 365 days has gone by with a blink of an eye and it seems like it's just yesterday where I attended the New Years Eve mass and then spend my first few hours of the New Year in McDonald with sister and a few friends.

In the year of 2012, I laughed a lot, I cried as much as I laughed, I danced for the Lord, I learn to become more patience and positive, I learn to surrender everything to Him, I lost someone who is dear to me for the first time, I make a lot of mistakes, I listen and most importantly, I grew.

Truth of be told, I would not say that it's been the best year so far but it's definitely another beautiful year to remember. A lot has changed but that changes bring me to where I am right now and I am thankful to have the people who stayed and also to the people who had left. I mean, what is a good year without tears, heartache, happiness and peace right? I still remember that I would get a lot of invitations in Facebook for celebrating 22nd of December. I always thought what will I do on the 21st of December. at last I got to know that I spend that whole day at home, spending time with God and family.

I also remember my resolution for the year 2012. I have only one and that is to be a great daughter, good sister, obedient granddaughter and a friend who listens. I would not say that I have accomplish that resolution perfectly, but I would not say that I trash it as well. I would say that i did better compared to the precious years. :-) There is a lot of ups and downs throughout the year but I am blessed because I got to find the solution to most of my problems through one Man and that person is God and with the help of my best friend, the Holy Spirit.

I have not been a very good Catholic but He is always guiding me and showing me the way home and that is what I love the most about Him. To know that He still cares and love me unconditionally no matter what. He is a amazing Father anyone could ever have. He is beyond words. He has open many doors for me this year like giving me the chance and opportunity to join Kingdom Dancers. He also let me experience disappointments where I am.not able to join the Kingdom Dancers to minister in India due to my finals that falls on that exact same week. He let me grow everyday in my faith, in my relationship with my family and my friendship with wonderful people. He also introduce me to a lot of new faces in the year of 2012. People whom I can call friends. and to all my beautiful friends, cheers to another year of friendship. <3

There are things that I dint expect to go through but what can I say, He is full of surprises and I am sure that there is more to come. I am so excited to see what's for me in the year of 2013. My resolution is still the same but I am adding one more which is wanting to know more about Christ and to be a good follower of Jesus. I pray that 2013 is going to be a good year. I kinda expect that there will be more challenges to face but I am.all game for it. :D:D I pray that it's not too soon to speak.

Wishing you all a blessed New Year and I also pray that everyone will get what they want and deserve in this brand new year. Remember to never loose hope, never give up, never let anyone put you down and never never let anyone tell you that you don't deserve love because everybody deserve to be loved cared and adored by every single person, no matter who they are or what has happen in their past.

Allow yourself to be inspired by the many good things and people in this world. Be the reason why people smile every day, be the reason why peoples life has changed to be a better person, be the reason why people starts to forgive instead of taking revenge, be the reason why people starts to love and give more, be a friend that people would cherish forever. ( I did not take this quote from.anywhere, it just came in to my mind )

oh yes, one more thing. If someone were to ask me what is the best thing that happened in 2012, I would say having to live one more year is the best thing that happened in 2012 and having to participate in the "God Speaking" musical adds in more spark to the chapter.
